Ever since I first saw Inglourious Basterds, I’ve had an admiration for the art of film. Since then said admiration has expanded to TV (Sherlock), music videos (Twenty One Pilots), online video content (Rocket Jump), etc. It encapsulated this imagination and love of creation that I refused to let go of as I grew up. The weird, dark, joyful, loving, anger, I loved all types of expression. Being old enough to know that people created these works that I loved, I knew one thing regarding my future. I wanted to be a part of that world. 

 

When I first started getting into the film and digital video world I didn’t know where my place was. I tried performing multiple roles, but most frequently found myself video editing.

I eventually noticed this and realized that video editing held exactly what I was looking for. As a video editor I took footage, audio, and music, putting the pieces together to form something new; like a puzzle, but with more freedom. It was the editors that put all the pieces together to create what I had fallen in love with. That’s my job, to put the pieces together and bring the message and emotions of the work to the forefront, with efficiency and style.

 

I aim to deliver a new approach to video editing, using creative problem solving and my ingenuity. Creating memorable experiences for people to enjoy; and if I’m lucky, inspire a few people along the way.
